"In order to get something better tomorrow, you have to do something better today!"
Welcome to TODAY!
Yesterday, this was tomorrow.
As a matter of fact, yesterday was today just 24 hours ago.
Actually, It's Always Today.
YOUR TIME IS NOW!
The Concepts
It's Always Today
Have you ever said to yourself that you wanted to do or be something more than what currently exists for you? You assume that that day will come, hopefully sooner than later. But what are you doing to make sure that you dreams become reality? For most of us the answer is nothing or very little at best. We make all kind of excuses, primarily blaming our perceived limitations and lack of resources. So to ease the pain, we recite these words: "I'll start tomorrow." WRONG!!! Yesterday this was tomorrow. Any day that you are alive is TODAY. You have to get F.E.D. up in order to move closer to accomplishing and acquiring the things you desire in life. F.E.D. stands for Focus, Effort, and Discipline and all of the preceding will have to come from you. Wanting to be successful is not a real goal. Why? It lacks clarity and therefore there is no precise way to focus on just being successful. You must define your goals clearly and write them down then devise a procurement strategy to achieve them. And it can only be done on Today.
Change Your Entire Life In Just 24 Hours
The book "It's Always Today" consists of 24 concepts which make up the chapters of this motivational manual. The reader is advised to spend 1 hour per day reading a chapter while taking notes or highlighting significant passages. Next, spend the remainder of the hour reflecting on how that concept has affected you in the past, and devising your strategy for implementing it starting today. If done correctly, you find that you have changed everything you desired to change about yourself in just 24 hours.
The Jogging Bracelet
Every now and then we all lose focus. It's pretty much human nature. To get back on our trail, we could use a gentle nudge to remind us to keep our eyes on the prize. A reminder bracelet can be just that nudge. So every time you go to write something, open a door, eat, drink, etc., you'll notice your green bracelet silently reminding you that it's always today.
The ATM Card (Always Today Motivation Card)
Once you have read the book, "It's Always Today", you'll realize the importance of writing down your goals and tasks needed to accomplish them. The 7 Day Plan should be written in a small notepad to allow plenty of room to list all of your short-term, easily completed tasks. However it is not always convenient to tote or pull out that pad in many situations. That's where the ATM Card comes in handy. It has four slots for daily tasks on the back and a scannable QR Code on the front that gives you instant access to daily motivation qoutes on Flash enabled phones. It is fashioned after a real debit/credit card and is the exact same size for optimum portability. You can fill out a new one each day and be on your focused way. You can even personalize the face of them to make them all the more worth while to carry.
The Author
Wood Butler, Jr.
Wood was born in 1975 into a loving Norfolk, VA family. His modest upbringing cultivated his abilities to create what he needed and acquire what he desired. At a young age, he showed interest in finding out how things really worked. He’d take apart his toys and other possessions and attempt to reassemble them. Though not always successful, he was able to derive key principles in the building process through reverse engineering. This eventually fueled a drive to invent and/or improve things to benefit the world around him.
While in high school, he and a close friend formed a music group and began writing and recording music. Wood’s mother frowned upon the use of profanity and negativity in music forcing him to be more creative and resourceful in choosing words for his lyrics. Those boundaries, along with the extra English classes he took while attending Norfolk State University, helped him to hone his literary skill set.
Through the years, Wood has constantly made efforts to realize his potential and help others do the same. He is a graduate of Norfolk State University and DeVry University’s Keller Graduate School of Management. He currently owns and operates Hollawood Publishing, a provider of literary works, promotional media, and audio recording services. Wood has also held positions at several Fortune 500 companies.
In his debut book, It’s Always Today: Change Your Entire Life In Just 24 Hours, Wood gives the reader an exploratory view at many of life’s challenges that cause us to procrastinate, thus prolonging the achievements we desire. Wood is available for speaking engagements, book signings, meet and greet sessions, and many other appearances relating to his fields of expertise.

"Change Your Entire Life In Just 24 Hours."
Every journey begins with the first step. For many of us, taking that step is often easier said than done. Life has a way of getting in the way of life. Something always seems to pop up, preventing us from embarking upon our journey, ultimately leaving us at square one indefinitely. While it's human nature to think that we will just try again tomorrow, it is important to realize that tomorrow never really arrives. At any given point in your life that you stop to think about it, it's always today. There's no better time to get moving than right now.
It's Always Today explores some of life's most perplexing concepts in a conversational tone making comprehension and application a breeze. It is truly a self-empowerment handbook which provokes you to ponder your past and plan your future. Each of the concepts are stand-alone in nature but are woven together by powerful threads of focus, effort, and discipline. By the end of the 24th chapter, you will believe that you can achieve whatever you want in your life.
Welcome to today. Yesterday, this was tomorrow. As a matter of fact, yesterday was today just 24 hours ago. Actually, it's always today.
Almost everyone on the planet, if given the opportunity, would prefer to be better tomorrow than they are today. The sure-fire way to make that happen is to do something about it...today. Putting things off for a future date and time is detrimental to achieving what we want out of life.
Since today is subdivided into 24 hours, naturally, a book about today would be divided into 24 chapters. Each chapter explores a different concept to help you reclaim your thinking and motivate you to take action toward accomplishing all of your realistic goals. As the subtitle affirms, you can change your entire life in just 24 hours.
Starting today doesnt mean you will finish today. Each day that you are alive is another TODAY. Make it your plan to invest one hour per day reading one chapter of this book. The chapters are short enough to allow time for you to read, take notes, and reflect on how that concept has affected you in the past, as well as your strategy for implementing it starting today.
At times the messages are stern, meant to be a reality check or a wake up call for those who need it. Other messages are subtle and ambiguous so as not to offend any individual or group. I place myself in a few of the scenarios to show that we all are human and go through our own emotional struggles, financial setbacks, and relationship wrecks. No one is exempt from the enemy's attacks or the Creator's blessings. It is our thinking that shapes our lives.
There are many self-help, motivational, and personal transformation books, DVDs, and seminars readily available through many channels. What separates this work from others is that it was created from the common persons perspective, and therefore can be practically applied by anyone regardless of where you may presently find yourself in life. There are very few big impressive words and the examples used are on a level at which we all can relate. If you are destitute, it contains concepts that can help you to help yourself. If you are affluent, it contains concepts that can help you to help others. No matter who you are and what you want to do, you have to make the most of your today.
The purpose of this book is to break down the barriers that block our path to accomplishing what we really want, and to expose the fact that most of those barriers are put up by us. Anything that can be done tomorrow can be done today. Life takes planning in order to maximize our existence. It was Winston Churchill who first said, "He who fails to plan is planning to fail." Well now I've said it, too. Believe in yourself, set realistic goals, and get moving, TODAY.
And When That Day Arrives...
"Today is tomorrow for everything you put off yesterday."
What is it about tomorrow that seems so magical to everyone? What is the big secret that will reveal itself on tomorrow that no one seems to know about today? Is it because no one has seen tomorrow yet, so therefore no one can really verify what will happen? Is it the hope that we will be better people in the future and therefore able to handle today’s tasks with greater proficiency? Seriously, if tomorrow is as big of a day as we proclaim, what will we do when it arrives?
The answer is (drum roll): nothing. It is impossible to do anything tomorrow. I repeat; it is physically impossible to do anything tomorrow. Why? Well how can we do something tomorrow when we only exist in the present and not the future? It is now and always will be…TODAY. Everything you do happens today because it is always today. It may sound like a play on words if you think about it, but it’s true. It is always today. We live in a rolling present time frame which means at whatever time you stop to think about your existence, it is always right now.

"Perspective does not affect the present, only the future."
Reality is the same for all of us. If it is 75 degrees where I'm standing and you're standing right beside me, then it is 75 degrees where you are standing as well. I, on the one hand, may enjoy warmer temperatures while you may prefer it to be cooler. Therefore, 75 degrees would not feel hot to me whereas you may perceive it as so. The facts have not changed. However, the manner in which we each choose to view the weather will affect our future. You, liking cooler temperatures, may opt to go and seek shade or air condition. I, liking warmer temperatures, may opt to spread a blanket over the grass, lie out and bask in the sunshine. Either way, the reality has not changed. It's still 75 degrees outside, but our individual actions have made us both more comfortable.
Viewing the glass as half full or half empty does not change it's volume. So which perspective is better? Well that all depends on the purpose for the contents in the glass and the desired result. For this analysis we'll use a 16 ounce glass containing 8 ounces of liquid. In a restaurant setting, this glass would not be good since it means either the server only filled it halfway or has not noticed that the patron has already consumed half of their beverage. The action to take is to fill the glass to capacity unless the patron declines. Later, after the restaurant closes and the server goes home to find a 16 ounce glass at half capacity sitting on his own table. Does he fill it up? It depends on the purpose. Could it be that he forgot to put the glass in the dishwasher before he went to work? Could it be that he has a slow drip from a leak in his roof and the glass has been catching the drip while he was at the restaurant? Both glasses were the same size holding the same amount of liquid but had totally different purposes. Once we know the purpose of the glass we can choose the correct perspective. This is why some people are perfectly happy working at the same job that you may find to be a miserable place to spend a large portion of your 24 hour allotment.
